The Graduate School Increases Travel Awards

December 5, 2017

Dear Students,

I am pleased to announce that the annual allocation for travel awards for The Graduate School will increase to $50,000 for both 2017-18 and 2018-19. This represents a 56% increase in The Graduate School travel award budget. In addition, beginning in 2018-19, The Graduate School will increase the maximum travel award to $500.

Travel award allocations will continue to be awarded based on enrollment and number of applicants per program. The Graduate School will seek the input of Graduate Program Directors as an additional criteria for allocations.

We hope that the enhanced travel award budget—as well as the stipend increases we introduced earlier this semester—underscores our appreciation of your role in our University community in support of your educational pursuits.

My very best wishes for a successful academic year.

Thomas Regan

Dean, The Graduate School
